Inspect the side housing for distortion in four positions as shown in the figure by placing a straight edge over the iron and a feeler gauge under the straight edge

Rotor Housing
Measure the width of the rotor housing at four points (A, B, C, and D) as shown in the figure using a micrometer.
The width between the measurement taken at point A and the measurement taken at B, C, and D must not exceed 0.0024in or 0.06mm

Rotor and side housing clearance.

Measure the width of the rotor housing in the position shown in the using a micrometer.
Measure the rotor width at various positions around the rotor round periphery using a micrometer.
Find the clearance between the iron and the rotor by finding the difference between the rotor housing width measurement and the rotor width measurement

Measure the height in the positions shown in the image
Assemble the corner seal. Insert a 0.15 mm {0.0059 in} feeler gauge into the tapered surface side of the side seal as shown in the image, and fix the side seal by pressing uniformly so that it contacts the inner side of the groove. Measure the clearance between both ends of the side seal and the corner seal using a feeler gauge
Measure the cut-off seal height around the complete perimeter using a vernier caliper.
Measure the contact width of the oil seal around the complete perimeter using a vernier caliper.
Measure the circumferential width of the oil seal around the lip using a vernier caliper.
Assemble the cut-off seal spring into the rotor and assemble the cut-off seal into the rotor. Measure the cut-off seal projection using a vernier caliper.
Assemble the side seal spring into the rotor then assemble the side seal into the rotor. Measure the side seal projection using a vernier caliper.
Assemble the corner seal spring into the rotor then assemble the corner seal into the rotor. Measure the corner seal projection using a vernier caliper.
Measure the height of the apex seal spring using a vernier caliper with the spring placed on a surface plate
Assemble the oil seal springs, o-rings, and oil seals in to the rotor. Measure the oil seal projection using a vernier calipe

Measure the outer diameter of the rotor journal using a micrometer. Measure the rotor journal at a point slightly off-center since the center section is raised. Do not measure at the center because it does not contact the rotor bearing.
Measure the inner diameter of the rotor bearing using a cylinder gauge.
clearance = (rotor bearing inner diameter) – (rotor journal outer diameter)
Set the eccentric shaft main journal on V-blocks and a surface plate, measure the runout at the end of the eccentric shaft using a dial gauge.
Measure the end play of the eccentric shaft using a deal gauge
